Depends how you define love. Even the romantic kind comes in several varieties. The solid two way bond of affection is less common than Hollywood tells us.
I agree with most of what you said except that most of what Hollywood depicts aren’t solid two-way bonds of affection. Instead it deploys a lot of shorthands (lust as a stand-in for love) and toxic relationship patterns.
I've always had a problem with how Hollywood portrays it. Yes, a handful of people do get love at first sight but even that takes work to develop. If two way love was as easy as Hollywood says it is, we'd all be laughing.
And yes, I would distinguish between love and lust. One is wanting to sleep with someone and the other is wanting to spend your life with them (in a positive, non-sinister way!)
